SDS Launches National Push for Tuition Equity

This week Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) announced the launch of an education rights campaign for undocumented immigrant students. SDS is calling on all chapters to build the struggle for tuition equity and financial aid for students who graduate from U.S. high schools without documentation.

All Out for the 2013 SDS National Convention: Oct 11-13th

On the weekend of October 11-13 Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) will be holding our eigth National Convention at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee.

SDS Holds National Day of Action for Education Rights

Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), a national progressive student group, held a “Day of Action for Education Rights” on March 14. High school and college students in different parts of the country protested government cutbacks and stood up for education rights. The four demands put forward by SDS were: No cuts - chop from the top; pass the Student Loan Forgiveness Act (HR 4170); freeze all tuition and fees; and corporations off campus.

Students for a Democratic Society build for RNC mobilization by touring Southern campuses

Launching the SDS 2012 Southern Tour, leaving Tallahassee.Starting on August 18, members of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) will kick off a major, week-long effort to build for the August 27 protest at the Republican National Convention, by visiting college campuses in the Southern region of the U.S.
